Silver Surfer Classes in Acocks Green

ReCOM is a small local charity that believes that computers should be accessible to all. They run computer classes for the over 55′s and also sell low cost refurbished computers to individuals and voluntary groups and other charities.

If you are over 55 and want to learn how to use your computer, or would like to improve on your computer skills, in a relaxed and friendly setting then ReCOM’s classes could be for you.

 Some of ReCOM’s volunteers were ‘bowled over’ with a fun evening at Acocks Green Bowl held to celebrate Volunteers’ Week 1-7 June 2011.

Silver Surfers Course

Acocks Green based IT Charity ReCom are offering a new beginners course after Easter in our area.  People over 55 who want to learn how to surf the net and feel more confident on a computer are welcome to come along.

A ReCom Silver Surfers Course

Venue: Archbishop Ilsleys Community Meeting Rooms
(limited access up flight of stairs)   Next to Holy Souls Church, Warwick Rd, Acocks Green
Date:  5th May  - 14th July  (no class 2 June)
Cost: £30 for the full 10 weeks
Time:  12.30-2.30pm

Local computer charity Recom are continuing to help get more older people confident with computers and using the internet.

If you have a friend or relative who is over 55 and wants to learn how to use their computer in a relaxed and friendly setting in Acocks Green then this is ideal – a Silver Surfers computer club will commence on:

When? Thursdays 12.30-2.30pm

Where? Community Room next to Holy Souls School on Warwick Rd, (next to Sainsburys).  Situated on the first floor – NOTE: there are stairs and no lift.

Cost? £33 for 11 weeks course
