The are some interesting and varied courses proposed at Stone Hall Adult Education starting in April. The subjects and lengths of courses vary from a few weeks to 10 weeks and include such subjects as Art Appreciation, On-Line Marketing for your Small Business, Clothes Making, Nail Art, Workskills, Music Technology, as well as First Step Computers and English and Maths skills. Pottery Classes start next week at Stone Hall Adult Education Centre and its not too late to enrol.

Come and explore your creative side. You can learn to make pots on a wheel, hand build figures or useful pots for the house and garden.  Two hours whiz by in a relaxing atmosphere.

If you are over 55 and want to learn how to use your computer, or would like to improve on your computer skills, in a relaxed and friendly setting, ReCOM’s classes could be for you.

There are a wide selection of varied new courses starting at our local Adult Education Centre in Acocks Green this Springtime.  From introduction of Floristry, Ceramic Jewellery Making, Spanish Conservation and taster sessions in Caligraphy, Growing Vegetables and Hat Making, to name just a few and  some of them are free.  The Have A Go courses are taster sessions so you can decide whether its for you.  There is lots more information on their website.  Click on the link below and scroll through the wide choice. If you are interested in learning more about cinema there is an opportunity to study Film right here in Acocks Green  at Stone Hall Adult Education Centre, next to Acocks Green Primary School.  Students who are successful on this course can apply to join a Part Time degree in English and Cultural Studies at The University of Warwick. Two students who took another course in the same series, on English Literature, who finished this summer are now being considered for degree places at Warwick.

                      £42 – Over 65
                      £21 – Over 19 – 64  on income based benefit
