Live Orchestral Performance in Acocks Green – Monday 7th July, 7pm

This is an opportunity not to be missed here in Acocks Green. Even if you have never experienced live classical music before, this is most definitely worth a try – you won’t be disappointed. The Kimichi Orchestra, brought together and featuring staff from our very own Kimichi Music School will perform together with many other musicians in this immersive performance. This means that the audience can sit amongst the orchestra and be completely immersed in the sound and the great acoustics of St Marys Church.

Keith Slade will introduce the music and explain the the key features to look out for in the piece, to make it accessible to those who may never heard this music before.

This is the grand finale of a season of live music that has taken place at the Kimichi School – a series called Phoenix Music Mondays which will commence again in September. A chance to see high quality, live music in the neighbourhood and watch musicians revelling in the chance to play powerful music that they love to perform. And amazingly it is free! (They are usually happy to accept donations on the door).

Last year Kimichi Orchestra wowed the audience with Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, a short clip: Beethoven’s Fifth performed in Acocks Green.

No doubt they will impress people again. You can read a more about the Shostakovich’s 5th Symphony HERE

Support live music here in Acocks Green and be prepared to be impressed!
