The Village in Bloom Team have been busy choosing and buying hundreds of spring bulbs to plant, so that in the Springtime the village will be a mass of beautiful and contrasting colours.
Meet at the Inn on the Green -10am Sunday 24th November
The saying goes – ‘Many Hands Make Light Work’, so it would be great if the team could be joined by some volunteers to help get the bulbs planted around the village on 24th November. No gardening skills are required and the result will be a springtime delight.
Places where bulbs will be planted – The Triabout on Warwick Road, on the corner of Woodcock Lane, the main island, outside the library and at St Marys Church. People are asked to meet at The Inn on The Green at 10am. If you have trowels, gloves, bulb-planters or a heavy iron bar (great for making the holes) bring them along, but there will be spare equipment. You can choose where you want to plant and work with others.
