Essential Tree Maintenance at Westley Vale

The Trustees of Westley Vale Millennium Green have been advised that five of the large Crack Willow trees along the Westley Brook need to be cut down to the ground for safety reasons. There has already been several large branches come down, as by their nature, the trees crack. This could obviously be dangerous for passing walkers or those enjoying the free Tai Chi class.

Crack Willow to be cut down

The tree surgeons will be coming to the Millennium Green on Wednesday 3rd November, so there will be some restrictions as to where you can walk whilst the work is going on.

The trees will shoot again from the trunks, but Westley Vale will look quite different to those walking though the site at the end of the week.

Don’t forget there is free one hour Tai Chi classes to enjoy Mondays (3.15pm) and Thursdays (10am). Just turn up. Beginners are always welcome.
